Pilates
This whole body exercise modality was created by Joseph Pilates in the 20th Century. Initially called “Contrology”, based off of Joseph Pilates’s mind-body philosophy, he believed that physical fitness can be restored with the complete coordination of body, mind, and spirit.
Pilates is based on eight core principles: breathing, centering, concentration, control, flow, precision, rhythm, and whole body movement. The unique use of spring resistance combined with functional exercises based in movement practices such as boxing, gymnastics, diving, dance, and circus arts has become one of the top fitness trends.
With a focus on developing a strong core (muscles of the abdomen, low back, and hips), Pilates emphasizes alignment, breathing, coordination and balance.

Functional Breath Training
The exercises in the functional breathing training aim to eliminate mouth breathing, normalize breathing volume, restore the balance of blood gases, and build diaphragm strength. This reduces breathlessness, and symptoms including asthma, anxiety, and stress. And it enhances sleep, for better all-round health.

MyoFunctional Therapy
MyoFunctional Therapy (MFT) consists of specific exercises directed toward re-education of the muscles and movement patterns of the face, tongue, head and neck to optimize breathing, postural control, swallowing, chewing, and speech. It is a highly effective method of improving and/or correcting inefficient habits that may have developed because of structure or compensatory habits. Functional issues related to the function of mouth and face are called Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders (OMDs).
